The General Ports Authority (Mawani) announced the addition of the new GS2/KMP shipping service, operated by the Premier Alliance of shipping lines HMM, ONE, and YANG MING, to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port. This service strengthens the Kingdom's ports' position as a major hub for maritime trade and supports their competitiveness regionally and globally.
The new shipping service connects King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port with 18 regional and international ports, including the port of Singapore, Laem Chabang in Thailand, Cay Mep in Vietnam, Shanghai in China, New Busan in South Korea, Long Beach and Oakland in the USA, Dalian, Tianjin, and Qingdao in China, Busan in South Korea, Ningbo in China, Kaohsiung in Taiwan, Shekou in China, Jebel Ali in the UAE, Hamad in Qatar, Khalifa in the UAE, and Sohar in Oman, with a total capacity of 16,000 TEUs.

This comes as part of "Mawani"'s efforts to enhance the Kingdom's ranking in global performance indicators and raise the efficiency of operational processes at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port, supporting the movement of national exports. This is in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, which aims to consolidate the Kingdom's position as a global logistics center and a hub connecting the three continents.
It is worth noting that King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jubail Commercial Port represent two fundamental pillars in the ports system on the Arabian Gulf coast, due to their advanced operational capabilities and integrated services, which contribute to facilitating the movement of trade and supporting the Kingdom's drive towards regional and global logistics leadership.
