In celebration of Omani Youth Day, SOHAR Port and Freezone signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Youth Center to implement joint programs and initiatives across North Al Batinah under the company’s corporate social responsibility umbrella. The signing took place as part of the “Imtidad” celebration organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
The partnership reflects SOHAR’s role as a partner in national development and as a talent incubator. It focuses on investing in young Omani talent, building skills that match market needs, and creating pathways to entrepreneurship, employability, and community participation. The collaboration also reinforces SOHAR’s commitment to Oman Vision 2040, delivering long-term value for people, business, and the economy.
Raid Al Rubai, CEO of SOHAR Freezone and Deputy CEO of SOHAR Port, said: “We take great pride in this partnership, which reaffirms our belief in the important role youth play in shaping the future. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment that stimulates innovation, nurtures entrepreneurship, and connects young people to real opportunities, aligning with the human development pillars of Oman Vision 2040.” He added, “The programs and initiatives launched under this partnership will build capabilities at professional and entrepreneurial levels, providing knowledge and practical experience that enable youth to lead change and contribute actively to the development of their governorates. This aligns with the Sultanate’s ambitions for comprehensive and sustainable development.”
Areas of cooperation will include training and development programs, entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives, and community projects that build leadership and professional skills while strengthening a culture of responsibility and positive citizenship. The agreement advances SOHAR Port and Freezone’s long-standing commitment to partnerships that are measurable, scalable, and aligned with national goals, ensuring that opportunities for young Omanis translate into lasting economic and social impact.
