Latsco Marine Management Inc. confirmed that its managed vessel, HELLAS APHRODITE (IMO: 9722766), was involved in a security incident at approximately 11:48 local time (UTC+4) on 6 November 2025.
The vessel, carrying a cargo of gasoline, was in route from Sikka, India, to Durban, South Africa, when the incident occurred approximately 550 nautical miles off the coast of Somalia.
All 24 crew members on board are safe and accounted for. Latsco Marine Management Inc. remains in close contact with the crew and has activated its emergency response team. The company is cooperating fully with the relevant authorities to ensure the ongoing safety and welfare of all personnel and the vessel.
HELLAS APHRODITE is a 49,992-deadweight-ton product tanker, built in 2016 and registered under the flag of Malta.
