Dan-Bunkering Europe announced the relocation of James Shiller, Global Lead of New Fuels, to the company’s Copenhagen office. His move to Denmark is a strategic decision for Dan-Bunkering, supporting the company’s goal of assisting customers through the maritime energy transition. With regulatory frameworks such as the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and FuelEU Maritime driving decarbonisation across the sector, Shiller’s presence in Denmark enables closer collaboration with clients and colleagues.
Michel Dominique Thomsen, Commercial Director of Dan-Bunkering Europe, stated that the maritime sector is undergoing an important transformation, and customers are seeking clarity and confidence as they adapt to alternative fuels and regulations. Thomsen emphasized that having Shiller in Copenhagen brings the company’s global expertise closer to the European market.
Since joining Dan-Bunkering’s Cape Town office in 2019, Shiller has established a reputation as an expert in compliance with decarbonisation regulations. He has played a pivotal role in upskilling more than 90 Dan-Bunkering fuel suppliers worldwide and will continue to educate the team on the latest developments in low-carbon fuels across all company offices.
