Technology developed by marine software firm Arkitech has delivered substantial energy savings to the HVAC on board an MSC Cruise ship
Arkitech’s software analyses data from more than 1,500 sensors installed on board the MSC Magnifica, boosting chiller efficiency by up to a reported 12%, saving around 1,600MW per year.
Arkitech’s solution can be installed during normal operations and works by continuously optimising the system’s temperature set points in response to varying conditions.
