RINA, a global leader in inspection, certification, and consulting engineering, hosted a seminar in Dubai, underscoring the company's dedication to innovation, sustainability, and growth in the Middle East and India. As its regional presence expands, RINA is well-positioned to address evolving client demands and support global decarbonization initiatives.

Under the leadership of Mauro Boni, the newly appointed Regional Marine Director for the Middle East and India, RINA is managing a fleet of 600 vessels totaling 4.2 million gross tons (GT). The company is also active in the new building sector, with 40 vessels under construction and 20 more in the pipeline. As a result, Abu Dhabi has been established as the central hub of RINA’s regional operations.

The announcement of Mauro Boni’s new role was a key moment during the seminar, delivered by Spyros Zolotas. Boni expressed his enthusiasm for the region’s growth and shared his vision for further strengthening RINA’s presence and capabilities.

RINA is Shaping the Future

The leadership team, including Mauro Boni (Regional Marine Director for the Middle East and India), Spyros Zolotas (South Europe Marine Vice President), and Pino Spadafora (Marine Market Development Vice President), showcased RINA's significant growth, particularly as the company now operates in five GCC countries with a team of over 100 professionals. RINA is also supported by 500 offshore specialists globally, across sectors such as Marine, Energy, Certification, Infrastructure, and Real Estate. RINA’s "One Company" integrated strategy ensures seamless collaboration and service delivery to major clients and projects.

During the seminar, before diving into the technical sessions, attendees were given an overview of RINA's accomplishments and vision for the future, setting the stage for insightful presentations. The seminar focused on RINA's cutting-edge digital tools, cybersecurity, and pathways toward decarbonization. Presentations were led by our colleagues Dimitris Zisimopoulos (digital tools), Michail Vrettos (cybersecurity), and Antonis Trakakis (decarbonization), who shared their expertise on how RINA is shaping the future of these critical areas. These presentations highlighted how RINA is shaping the future of innovation and sustainability across its core areas of expertise.

The event, which brought together over 80 key industry players, began with an engaging introduction and culminated in a lively cocktail reception, fostering connections and collaboration among attendees. The success of the seminar underscored RINA’s leadership and commitment to driving progress in the region.
