Iraq Ports Implements Strategic Changes to Enhance Operational Efficiency
Dr. Farhan Al-Fartousi, General Manager of Iraq Ports, convened a pivotal meeting with directors of joint operation companies managing the country's ports to underscore the urgency of improving port operations.
The focus of the discussions was on enhancing the efficiency of loading and unloading activities across all terminals, a move Dr. Al-Fartousi described as crucial for supporting the logistics sector and boosting Iraq's economy. He emphasized the importance of providing all necessary facilities to truck drivers and freight forwarders to ensure seamless operations.
Dr. Al-Fartousi highlighted the directive from the Minister of Transport, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, on the necessity of overcoming any operational obstacles that could impede the flow of goods through Iraqi ports. He pointed out that any delays not only disrupt the supply chain but also have a broader negative impact on the national economy.
