Global Trade Support is launching the Algiers Maritime Forum, which will take place on April 24, 2024 at the Holiday Inn hotel in Algiers to discuss: “The business models of maritime companies”.

About the Algiers Maritime Forum

The Algiers Maritime Forum is a periodic gathering, which brings together the maritime community to discuss the industry’s trends. The Algiers Maritime Forum is a full day of dynamic presentations and intense round tables where participants can share their knowledge, best practices and present new strategies. In addition to several networking sessions that will allow buyers to find the necessary suppliers.

The first meeting comes along the Algerian government’s efforts in and encouragements the business community to heavily invest in the maritime sector through ship ownership or ship leasing. Hence why the theme “The functioning and business models of maritime companies”

Topics that will be covered during the event hold wide range of information including exchange with owners or managers of maritime transport companies, the conditions for granting the operating concession for maritime transport services, meeting shipbrokers and understanding the process of buying a ship and recent development in the global shipping market.

Speakers

As for the speakers, there will be experts from the maritime industry to contribute valuable insights, like Mouloud BELAID (President of the Professional Association of Algerian Shipping Agents), Erik JENSBY (Head of Membership and Business Development at BIMCO), Gerard Hopkins (Secretary General London Maritime Arbitration Association) and Abdallah SERIAI (President of the Employers’ Union of Transport and Logistics).
