The HTH & Shell Conference 2023 featured major maritime figures and Shell managers, including Gian Matteo Zappia, Development Manager MED/ME at SHELL Marine, who took the stage & presented the high-performance premium Shell Sirius S4 15W-40 for offshore vessels.

Edgard Saleh, General Manager of Hamburg Trading House, Capt. Giorgio Barabino, Regional Business Director Med & Middle East – Shell, Vijai Vincent, Marine field base Account Manager, and Nicholas Lambrakis, Managing Director – Kaeline, highlighted Shell's ingenious solutions to optimize operational efficiency & reduce the total cost of asset ownership. The event was part of the global launch for Shell Alexia 40 XC - a remarkable 40 BN, high-performance CLO which is designed to safeguard modern low-speed, 2-stroke diesel engines using <0.5% S fuels. In his presentation, Saleh discussed major topics and issues taking place in today’s maritime and shipping sectors, shedding the light on Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan SEEMP, its purpose and advantages, distribution of the world’s fleet in light of international regulations, and the stages of addressing climate change all the way to 2050 through IMO’s regulations to control GHG emissions and CO2 reductions.
