CMA CGM to start new service connecting Türkiye, Malta and Algeria
CMA CGM will launch its new Turaf Express service, which will provide links between Türkiye, Malta and Algeria, later in July.
The French ocean carrier will deploy three container ships on the service with a box capacity of 900-1,100 TEUs each.
The port rotation of the Turaf Express service will be Aliaga (Türkiye) - Gemlik (Türkiye) - Izmit (Türkiye) - Istanbul (Türkiye) - Malta - Alger (Algeria) - Aliaga.

This new weekly service, starting from the port of Aliaga on 17 July, is expected to provide North Türkiye with additional weekly connections to worldwide destinations via the Malta hub. Additionally, it is expected to implement a sustainable maritime bridge between North Türkiye and Alger.
CMA CGM noted that ocean transit time from Aliaga to Alger will be 10 days and from Istanbul to Alger 7.5 days.
