Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new general rate increase (GRI) / general rate adjustment (GRA) from the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent to North America.

The German carrier will implement an increase of US$500 per container from 1 July. The new GRI will be applied to cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ dry, reefer and special containers, including high cube equipment.

The rate adjustment will be applied to sailings from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iraq to the United States and Canada.
