ADNOC L&S commissions SeaOwl to design unmanned offshore transport vessel
ADNOC Logistics & Services has signed an agreement with SeaOwl for the design of unmanned ROVs capable of transporting vehicles, equipment and supplies to and from offshore sites.
The 55-m ROV vessels are intended for operation from an onshore control room via a satellite link, using AI systems to control propulsion, dynamic positioning, remote communication and cybersecurity.

SeaOwl, a French company specializing in automation and digitalization of maritime services, will design the vessel, manage its construction and help secure navigation permits from the UAE maritime transportation body, working in partnership with Bureau Veritas.
The vessels will be able to operate in harsher offshore conditions with no exposure to seafarers.
