West P&I: Port of Sudan situation stabilized
According to West P&I Club, the Port Sudan situation has stabilised, which is a positive development for the city considering the ongoing clashes between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the army.
This news comes after West P&I Club had reported that due to civil conflict in Sudan, disruption to port operations has been occurring. However, the update report by West’s local correspondent, Mutual Marine Services & Transport Al Mushtaraka Ltd, stated that in Port of Sudan, shops are open, and people are going about their daily activities as usual, indicating that the local population is not unduly affected by any security concerns or other disruptions.

West also reported that all roads and bridges in Port Sudan are currently open for transporting goods to and from the port, and load and discharge operations are continuing as usual in the port itself. Furthermore, the oil terminal at Bashayer, an essential facility that handles Sudan’s oil exports located near Port Sudan, is operating normally.
