PGS has delivered new 3D seismic depth data from its FSB Vision rejuvenation project over northern UK waters to support bids for 33rd Licensing Round blocks West of Shetland.

This expands coverage within the basin to 24,000 sq km, including almost all the available blocks.

According to the company, the Faroes Shetland Basin area has a complex structural and geological history. This has generated multiple petroleum plays but also features that obstruct subsurface imaging based on reflection seismic data.

PGS' FSB Vision involves merging data and broadband reprocessing. 

Offshore Lebanon the company is offering multiclient data over all blocks offered under the Lebanese Second Offshore Licensing Round, which closes on Dec. 15.

These include blocks 8 and 10 in the southernmost area, where Israel and Lebanon recently reached agreement concerning exploration in potentially overlapping waters.

According to PGS, Lebanon will now seek to achieve a consensus on its maritime border with Cyprus, with meetings also scheduled in Beirut and Damascus to reach a border agreement between Lebanon and Syria.
