Dubai-based regional carrier Tehama Shipping Services will on 1 September launch a United Arab Emirates and Western India service.

Marketed as "Tehama India Express" (TIX), this loop will deploy the 2,764 teu TSS SHAMS to shuttle between Jebel Ali and Nhava Sheva every eleven days.

This upcoming deployment comes just a month after Tehama Shipping's recent change of ownership in early August. Since then, Tehama Shipping is 100% owned by sheikh Matloob Atef Al Sharafi. The regional carrier currently owns and operates two containerships of 2,000 - 2,700 teu in the region.

The 2013-founded Tehama Shipping is part of Saba Group International which is also active in other fields such as shipping agency, telecom, banking, trading, electronics, as well as steel, cement and grain milling and others.
