In the story of this cursed ship as Cap Sayed Hakal published on his account on Facebook  which the Syrian national, Dhafer Al-Fahal, bought it from Japan 5 months ago as a piece of junk that is not suitable for sailing without experience/skills, except in the measure of collecting money, and to make more than one-third of the crew marine students who are supposed to be without experience/responsibility,

in exchange for huge sums of money amounting to 4000 US dollars collected from one student to be shared between the ship owner and the broker in a precedent that we will work on recording as an organized crime against which they committed their greed And their greed is that God’s curse is upon them

He added For a ship with its crew, which at the time of sinking consists of 8 Syrians + (4 Egyptians, including 3 marine students belonging to the Jordanian Academy and the Arab Academy + one marine)

Cap Sayed Hakal posted  that the ship was loaded with iron goods and white cement from the port of Changying in China to reach the port of Misurata in Libya with the goods, but the owner came to Sri Lanka after the former captain / Mustafa informed him of the danger of the ship sailing and it was necessary to enter the Dry Dock which was rejected and the captain replaced with another named Zakaria and his request to start the journey with this danger, without the slightest consideration for the life of the crew and its responsibilities towards them until the ship left

Adding:  when the ship started leaking water during their journey, the owner asked them on an accidental trip with the dilapidated hull of the ship to complete the trip to the Suez Canal to try to maintain it before the ship completes its cargo, the port of Misurata in Libya

Through videos sent by Egyptian sailors to their families and some friends, Cap Sayed Hakal confirmed the condition of the boat as unseaworthy because of the wear and tear of all parts of the hull and the rescue of water to the ship from each side,

in addition to the movement of the cargo in its holds to open it at the time of the inevitable sinking on July 13 in the evening in the Indian Ocean, western Somalia, the crew left the ship to the rickety rescue boat, which was the last resort to save their lives, and upon the arrival of all the crew

Saying that the boat upset the balance of the martyr Sailor / Sameh Syed Shaaban to fall into the sea, so his fellow martyr Sailor / Muhammad Jamal tries to save him, so the current takes them together.

”And the failure of their rescue without a jacket/immersion suit, they were wearing, as the nearest ship received distress more than 10 hours to reach them.

The incident against the owner was included and criminal proceedings were taken for this grave danger caused to the crew and the cause of death and neurological trauma to the rest of the crew

The vessel departed from SHANGHAI, CN on 2022-05-01 15:00 LT (UTC +8) and is currently sailing at 7.1 knots in Southwest direction
