MPA Singapore announces lift of Maritime Declaration of Health for arriving vessels
Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA) has revised the requirements for the submission of Maritime Declaration of Health (MDH) for vessels arriving in the Port of Singapore.
Namely, from 01 Jul 2022, only arriving vessels that fall under any of the below categories be required to submit the MDH:
- Vessels that are arriving from any of the countries (last port of call) listed in the ANNEX A of NEA’s circular; or
- Vessels with any person suspected of infectious diseases or dead body onboard;
- Vessels with any sick passengers or crew onboard.
The MDH must be submitted to the Port Health Office 12 hours before arrival at the port of Singapore, and should include the following:
- Crew list / Passenger list;
- Current copy of the Ship Sanitation Certificate;
- Last 10 ports of call list; and
- List of all passengers and crew with temperature over 37.5 degree Celsius.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in a breach of the Infectious Diseases Regulations, and shall be liable for fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both.
