Zamil Shipyard to expand into RIB construction
Saudi Arabia’s Zamil Offshore Services Company, through its Zamil Shipyards division, has expanded into the construction of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) with the launch of a new business unit.
The boats are being built by Zamil Ribcraft following the signing of a strategic technology transfer partnership with UK-based Ribcraft. The first two RIBs to be constructed will be supplied to Saudi dive company 17 Sixty.
The RIBs will have FRP hulls and outboard engines.
