Eni deepening offshore Abu Dhabi well following gas discoveries

Eni’s first exploration well in block 2 offshore Abu Dhabi has proven gas in multiple Jurassic intervals.
The XF-002 well is being drilled in 115 ft (35 m) water depth. Results so far indicate 1.5-2 tcf of raw gas in place in good-quality reservoirs. Drilling operations will continue toward deeper exploration targets in the Khuff and Pre-Khuff formations.
On completion during 2Q, Eni and partner PTTEP will assess the final data.
ADNOC awarded the block in January 2019 under the company’s first competitive bid round for exploration blocks.
