Ro-ro ship fire, Dardanelles
Ro-ro ship QEZBAN reported fire in engine room while transiting Dardanelles in eastern direction at 2230 LT (UTC +3) Jan 8, in Suluca – Lapseki area.
A number of tugs and firefighting teams were sent to QEZBAN, fire was extinguished in a short time, the ship was brought to anchor in the same area.
As of 0400 LT Jan 9, QEZBAN was still at anchor.
She’s en route from Lavrio Greece to Yalova Turkey.
