#ShipTek International Conference & Awards 2023, held at The Address Marine Hotel, Dubai, on 15 – 16 March 2023, was a resounding success. The event, organized by Biz Events Management, brought together top industry stakeholders, decision-makers and experts from the maritime industry under one roof. Attendees were treated to a wide range of thought-provoking presentations and interactive panel discussions highlighting the many ways technology enhances efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the maritime world. One of the event’s key highlights was the presidential address by Sir Sohan Roy, who emphasized how technology and AI will play a huge role in disrupting the maritime industry in the future. The Keynote Address was delivered by Capt. Abdulla Al Hayyas, Director of Maritime Affairs, The UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure.

The eagerly anticipated industry awards – ShipTek Maritime Awards 2023 recognized the 'Bravehearts' of the maritime industry who have contributed significantly to the industry and demonstrated innovative and visionary leadership. Mr. Ibrahim Al Nadhairi, CEO (Shipping & Drydock), ASYAD was presented with the ShipTek Maritime Personality of the Year Award, Mr. Numair Shaikh, CEO of Tomini Shipping, was honored with the Rising Star award, and Capt. Tanuj Balani, Managing Director, Stag Marine, was bestowed with Excellence in Professional services – Maritime.
