Trans Misr Terminal (TMT) recently hosted a delegation from the French Customs Administration (Direction générale des douanes et droits indirects – DGDDI). The delegation was led by Mr. Florian Colas, Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxation, and accompanied by Mr. Ahmed El Amawy, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority, and Rear Admiral Ehab Salah, Chairman of Alexandria Port Authority.
The delegation was warmly received by Rear Admiral Abdel-Kader Darwish, Chairman of the Egyptian Group for Multipurpose Terminals (EGMPT), the commercial arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Transportation, and Rear Admiral Mahmoud Khodeir, Chairman of Trans Misr Terminal (TMT).
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase TMT’s capabilities, resources, and high service standards, along with the modern and digitalized procedures implemented in cargo inspection and release operations. The delegation also exchanged expertise with Egyptian counterparts on customs and port systems, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and collaboration, and highlighting the strong partnership between Egypt and France in advancing port and logistics development.
