Singapore-based shipowner Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has ordered 12 newbuildings comprising tankers and container ships at Hengli Heavy Industry.
The order includes six Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC), two LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tankers, and four 6,000 teu medium-sized container ships.
Hengli said the signing of this batch of orders not only reflects the high recognition of the shipbuilder by EPS but also marks the company's continuous breakthroughs and strong capabilities in the high-end shipbuilding sector.
Starting in September, Hengli has secured several newbuilding contracts, covering various ship types such as container ships, bulk carriers, and oil tankers.
As of November, the order volume of Hengli has approached 100 ships for this year, with the order backlog already scheduled until 2029.
“As a privately-owned shipbuilding giant, Hengli Heavy Industry has continuously made breakthroughs in the field of high-end vessel manufacturing. Leveraging advanced technological innovation, robust shipbuilding capacity, and a significant advantage in delivery cycles, it has earned the trust of numerous internationally renowned shipping companies,” said Hengli.
