Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, and Dr. Nidal Mardi, Minister of Transport of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and exchange experiences in the fields of maritime industry, marketing, and the provision of maritime and logistical services, on the sidelines of the annual International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference (MARLOG).
At the beginning of the meeting, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie stressed that joint cooperation in the field of maritime industry between the brotherly Arab countries presents many serious opportunities and allows for achieving economic savings, stressing that the Suez Canal companies and shipyards possess great expertise in the field of maritime manufacturing and building marine units with world-class quality and competitive prices.
Lieutenant General Rabie pointed out the Suez Canal Authority’s keenness to strengthen cooperation ties with the Arab Bridge Maritime Company and the Port of Aqaba in light of the shared bilateral relations.
For his part, Dr. Nidal Mardi, Minister of Transport of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, praised the great development in the logistics services system of the Suez Canal Authority and the efforts to localize the marine units industry in Egypt, expressing his aspiration to cooperate with the Suez Canal in the field of building tourist yachts.
The Minister of Transport of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan also extended an invitation to the Suez Canal to present its successful experience in the field of maritime industry by organizing a major event in Jordan over two days, with the attendance of those concerned in the brotherly Arab countries, to benefit from the experience, strengthen cooperation ties, and market the maritime units manufactured by the companies and shipyards of the Suez Canal Authority.
