As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and reinforcing occupational safety and health practices across all work locations, Eng. Walid Hegazy, Chairman& CEO of Petroleum Marine Services (PMS), conducted a field inspection visit to the company owned offshore unit “Barge 17” to follow up on the final execution stages of the North Safa Offshore Field Development Project Phase II.
The visit aimed to closely monitor workflow progress and review implementation rates on site.
During his visit , Eng. Hegazy inspected various operational areas onboard the barge, where he reviewed the latest updates on the project and assessed the progress of ongoing activities in line with the approved Project time schedule.
The Chairman also closely reviewed the implementation of occupational safety and health procedures, ensuring full compliance with all preventive and safety measures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to safe work practices, and the preparedness of work teams to respond efficiently to emergency situations.
Eng. Walid Hegazy emphasized that safety remains a top priority for PMS, stressing that achieving high performance and execution rates must always go hand in hand with strict adherence to safety standards and procedures, in order to safeguard employees, who represent the company’s most valuable asset.
During the visit, Eng. Hegazy held an open meeting with employees working onboard Barge 17, listening to their feedback and suggestions while expressing appreciation for their dedication and continuous efforts.
He also highlighted the importance of teamwork, discipline, and maintaining a strong culture of commitment across all work environments.
This visit comes within the framework of the company management’s field oriented approach, which focuses on maintaining direct engagement with work sites and supporting operational teams.
In recent weeks, Eng. Walid Hegazy has carried out several inspection visits to PMS fabrication yards in El Maadiaa, Alexandria, as well as Barge 11, to directly follow up on operational performance and safety compliance across various company locations.
The company’s continued field presence reflects its commitment to strengthening communication with work teams, supporting project execution sites, and achieving the highest standards of operational efficiency, quality, and safety in offshore project delivery.
