Acta Marine has reached a new milestone in its long term commitment to the French offshore wind market with the reflagging of its newly delivered offshore construction vessel Acta Pegasus to the French flag on 6 May 2026. The vessel was already operated by Acta Marine France, the company’s French entity established in 2022.
The decision to register Acta Pegasus under the French flag (RIF Registre International Français) reflects Acta Marine’s continued commitment to France as a strategic base for Acta Marine’s services to the French and wider European offshore wind market by further investing in local people and state-of-the-art assets.
“Choosing the French flag for Acta Pegasus is a deliberate, long‑term commitment,” said Nicolas de Boer, President of Acta Marine France. “Even with limited short‑term activity in French waters, we strongly believe in France’s role within the European offshore wind supply chain.”
Brice Lavault, General Director of Acta Marine France adds, “We are also very happy with the skilled French seafarers and offshore professionals that we are able to attract to work for Acta Marine in the current tight labour market. Our new, state-of-the-art vessels and regular and planned rotation certainly help in recruiting enthusiastic people in our team”.
Acta Pegasus is the first newly delivered vessel in Acta Marine’s fleet in a series of four newbuild vessels. The vessel reflects Acta Marine’s continued investment in modern offshore construction vessels tailored to the needs of the offshore wind sector.
