Within the keenness of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) on looking forward to future prospects, AASTMT Alamein Campus College of International Transport and Logistics organized a comprehensive introductory workshop for the business sector of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Libya.
The workshop was held on the sidelines of a visit to Libya by H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, and a high-level delegation from AASTMT officials. Several prominent Libyan figures participated in the workshop including, H.E. Ambassador Tamer Hefny - Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Libya, Dr. Muftah Mustafa Muftah Abu Hajar - General Manager of Qanwan Company, Mr. Sam Al-Idrisi - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Maritime Transport, Mr. Abdel Qader Al-Zarouq - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education for Training Affairs, and Mr. Saber Al-Azabi - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Marine Resources for Technical Affairs.
During the workshop, AASTMT President emphasized that Libya and Egypt have a long history of collaboration. He noted that AASTMT is dedicating all its research, training, and scientific resources to the development of human resources in accordance with international standards. The workshop also included a comprehensive overview of the academic and training programs, as well as the competitive advantages, provided by AASTMT Alamein College of International Transport and Logistics that blends cutting-edge facilities with an advanced learning environment. The workshop additionally focused on the international accreditations, strategic alliances, and agreements that improve graduates' chances in both domestic and foreign employment markets. Furthermore, the workshop described prospects for cooperation between government agencies and the Libyan business sector through cooperative initiatives and studies focusing at developing the maritime transport, logistics, and port sectors.
